The Republican Party of Jackson County is holding our annual picnic on Sunday, August 21st at the Field Of Honor in Black River Falls. We will meet at 4:00 pm with great food and fun for the family. The cost is $5.00 per person or $20.00 maximum per family.

Dan Kapanke is being recalled for doing the right thing. Yes, I am a public employee and I'll say it again, Senator Dan kapanke did the right thing and should not be recalled for doing what we sent him to Madison to do. It's now time to protect our vote and our future prosperity. Even if Dan is not your district, it's important we get out and help our cause. Please come out on Sunday, August 7th and show your support for Dan Kapanke. Here are the details: Parade in Wilton We plan is to meet at the Kapanke Headquarters (58 Copeland Ave) in La Crosse at 11:00. Parade line-up is at 12:00 and parade starts at 12:30. I'm sure it's not a long parade. If it is more convenient for you to meet us in Wilton, the parade line-up would be near the Caboose wherever that might be in Wilton. I'm sure it won't be hard to find. Barbque in West Salem (4pm to 6pm) There will be a barbque in West Salem at the Veterans Memorial Park (1 mile West of West Salem on Hwy 16). We will all gather to show are support for Dan prior to Tuesdays election. You won't want to miss this! Polls are showing this is a very close race with Dan gaining momentum. Please come out and show your support for Dan and help make this a win for all of us.

“The 2 nd Annual Black River Falls Fine Art Sale and Live Auction”
Under a big tent rain or shine on June 18 th , at the corner of First and Pierce St. Downtown Black River Falls. Sale starting at 11am with a live auction at 1pm. , refreshment and seating will be provided.
The event will be held to benefit emerging Artist from the area and the Jackson County outreach facility for the Bolton Refuge House.
Auction bidding numbers will be sold and the proceeds along with part of the auction recites will go to the Outreach.
Our hope is to generate some encouragement, notoriety and sales for artists that would like to develop their career.

As you can see in the picture, we tow a beat up old canoe to carry equipment in and trash out. We are in need of three more old, lightweight, around 14', canoes to continue the work of keeping the creeks open throughout the year. Hello everyone,
Please MAKE SURE YOU VOTE ON TUESDAY for Dave Prosser for WI Supreme Court Justice. ONLY vote for Dave as a vote for two candidates dilutes your vote for Dave. Without a liberty Constitutionally minded court many of the laws passed by our legislature and signed by Governor Walker risk judicial shenanigans as the liberals use the courts to push an agenda the people won't vote for.
I would also like to ask for your support in the my race for Black River Falls School Board. I believe it's important to have a conservative voice on this board. We can give our children a great education without placing huge financial burdens on tax payers. Governor Walker and the Republican legislator are preparing to give local school board the tools they need to provide a great educational experience at a cost our community can afford. If elected, I plan on using those tools.
Your support in both these races are greatly appreciated and very necessary. Please vote on Tuesday, February 15th.
After you vote please plan on attending our caucus. The caucus will be held at the Black River Country Bank next to the courthouse. We will be starting at 6:30 pm. On the agenda is our business meeting, election of officers, election of delegates and resolutions.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT THERE IS HEREBY CALLED, by action of the Executive Committee of the Republican Party of Jackson County, meeting on the Fourth day of January, 2011, a Republican Party of Jackson County Caucus, as provided in Article V, section 1 of the Constitution of the Republican Party of Jackson County, to be held at the Black river Country Bank located at 221 Main Street, Black River Falls, Wisconsin, commencing at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday February 15, 2011, for the purpose of transacting the following business:
1. to Promulgate and adopt reports from the committees on Credentials, Rules, Resolutions and Platform.
2. Selection of Delegates.
3. To hear reports from party leaders, elected officials, and other invited speakers.
4. To transact any other business that may be necessary to gain the objectives of the Republican Party of Jackson county.

fyi, the black river state forest's annual candlelight ski is this sat. 2/5 from 6-9 pm at Smrekar trailhead in Millston. After the ski, the local Hiking Club will be having a get together at the Evergreen's.

Great book , in my opinion the cover of this book is a lot like the state of our union, It may be tattered and falling apart but it's contents are well worth saving!
